I’m Ellen. I’m an aspiring young farmer, food and farm advocate, and lover of good food. My approach to food and farming is mostly from a grassroots, community level. I’ve coordinated community garden projects and focused on growing food for those who have limited access to healthy, fresh food. I imagine a world where healthy food is a right and accessible to all, without stigma, financial, or education barriers. As I strive to find my place within the mushrooming yet hugely underfunded world of food justice and farming, I’m keeping this blog, documenting my own challenges eating healthfully and from scratch on a minimum wage budget. The blog will also serve as an inspiration board, highlighting creative projects, people, noteworthy reads, and everyday beauty. Thanks for reading!
